What attracted you to working for RLWC2021?

I have been fortunate  to work  on the Olympics 2012 , the Rugby Union World Cup 2015, the Heineken Cup 2019  and several Magic Weekends ,  developing a passion to  play a part in the organisation of International Sporting Events of which the Rugby League World Cup 2021 will be up there with the best . Major sporting events  give so much back to spectators , the organisers and the Host Cities which embrace them and it will be a privilege to work on this event.

What is your favourite sporting memory?

Newcastle v Sunderland 16^th May 1990 , St James Park , the 2^nd leg of the playoffs , an unbelievable atmosphere , Sunderland underdogs but through Gates and Gabbiadini they  go through to Wembley 2 nil, with a pitch invasion ……some night! The other is the 1973 FA Cup quarter final reply when Sunderland beat Man City, Franny Lee, Colin Bell and other superstars 3-1 at a jam packed Roker Park on the way to winning the FA Cup.
